The device then transmits the electrical signals to the controller, where they are processed and recorded. We also know it as a pressure transmitter. There are various types of pressure transducers depending on the specific use. Each references a specific pressure measurement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Absolute pressure transducers measure the pressure compared to a perfect vacuum, using absolute zero as a reference point.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Gauge pressure transducers measure the pressure relative to atmospheric pressure. An example is a tire pressure sensor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Differential pressure transducers measure the difference between two pressures on either side of the sensor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Data Loggers<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Data loggers are devices that automatically monitor and record environmental parameters over time. A data logger has a sensor to receive the information and a computer chip to store it. Once the data is stored, you can transfer it to a computer for analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">There are two main types of data loggers. The first is the data logger with a pressure transducer built-in. This data logger is best for applications where pressure is measured but is not critical to the overall well-being of the system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The other type is a data logger that stores process signals from pressure transducers. This device is entirely separate from the pressure transducer. These data loggers can store 1,000 to 500,000 signals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Advantages of a Data Logger<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A data logger allows one to take measurements anywhere, even during transit, without human intervention. In addition, the logger can space the measurements to obtain transient events or separate the measurements far apart to maximize recording duration. These advantages are significant when measuring pressure, specifically weather systems like tsunamis and storms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A data logger is more effective, reliable, and accurate than other options. Also, it saves lab time and expenses of having a person do the recording manually.
