The best choice is a durable controller that can sustain precise and regular operation through repeated cycles. Choose a controller that fits your application and has a reputation for longevity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When Is It Time to Replace?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Before we mention the five factors many times, it starts with the question, when is it time to replace a pressure controller?<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If your pressure controller is obsolete and the manufacturer doesn&#8217;t support it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It&#8217;s broken or not working, and you can&#8217;t repair it, or it is too expensive.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Does it still have the capability to provide value to your lab?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If you have answered yes to one or all of the above, then it is time to find better equipment for your lab.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Assess the Lab&#8217;s Workload<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">What is the workload like in your lab? Specifically, how much were you using the pressure controller? Is your workload the same as before, or has it increased? This will give you an idea of what you need in equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pressure Range<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Evaluate the set of pressure ranges you will need to calibrate. The pressure controller you choose must be capable of controlling and measuring the entire span of your expected ranges. Ranges and pressure types will determine the complexity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pressure Type<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Determine the type of pressure that needs to be calibrated: gauge, absolute, bidirectional, or differential. This is particularly important in a production environment requiring repeated cycling of pressure.
